Bible journaling is one of my favorite ways to interact with the Holy Scripture. I’ve been Bible journaling for many years and it has absolutely transformed my relationship with Jesus.

Every day, as I write the Bible verses, I add the messages to my life. This gives me the motivation I need to lead the rest of the day. Nothing makes me happier than spending time with the Holy Bible.

There are several journaling Bibles available; yet, if you are new to journaling, you do not need a journaling Bible to get started. You can use a regular Bible with a pencil and a small book on your journey.

Documenting your walk of faith is one of the best things you can do for yourself, and even though you never earned a color or paint for Bible journaling, you should be writing down some of your major moments with God in a journal.

How To Write A BIBLE Journal:- In 8 Easy Steps

These simple eight steps will point you on the right track as a novice in Bible journaling.

Step 1:- Pick A Time For Bible Journaling

To be precise, I recommend that you journal the Holy Bible at a certain time of the day. Morning is the perfect time to journal the Holy Scripture when our minds are at their sharpest after a restful nap.

Different hours of the day fit different people, and you can pick the appropriate time to write in your Bible Journal. You can continue your Journaling routine more effectively and efficiently once you’ve decided what works best for you.

Step 2:- Bible Journaling Supplies For Beginners

To begin Bible journaling, you only need two essential items.

  1. A regular Bible
  2. A pencil (you may use a notebook instead if you don’t like writing in the Holy Bible).

You can add other Supplies to your Bible journaling as you gain practice. I would like to discuss a few items that are helpful for every journaler. After all, not everything on the list is required for Bible journaling.

Step 3:- Pray  For Bible Journaling

Heavenly Father, thank you for this wonderful day. Thank you for your precious Word. Let me hear your voice speaking to me from inside as I read your word. Give me wisdom and revelation so that I can understand your message to me. Thank you, Jesus. In Jesus mighty name I pray, Amen

Step 4:- Select A Verse For Bible Journaling

Initially, I would search for a passage that corresponded to how I was feeling on that particular day.  You can also refer to these shortest Bible verses to help you get started too!  When you’ve decided on a list of verses, make a note of them on the side with reference.

Step 5:- Explore The Selected Verse

The next step is to study the selected verse. Another method for getting to know God better is to explore the Holy Bible. When learning, I like to take notes and write a review of the scripture in my own language. Write whatever flows to your heart. It is beneficial to be immersed in the pages of the Holy Scripture.

As we read the Word of God, we can relate what we learn to our daily lives. The more time we devote to studying God’s word, the more He can show His intent and intention for our lives.

Step 6:- Draw A Visualization Of  The Selected Verse – Be Creative!

When you’ve finished studying, highlight the verse with different colored pens for each line. Create a visual portrayal of the selected scripture, -ie sketching a lovely expression of God’s word. The more easily you can articulate your points visually, the more effectively you can make use of the knowledge.

Step 7:- Use The Connections  Between The Bible And Your Life

After sketching out my design concept I write down what they signify and how they apply to daily life. In addition,  I mention all of my requirements that the Lord is actually fulfilling and explain a blessing that occurred during the month.

Step 8:- Review The Journal Entries On A Regular Basis

If you check the prior journal you will realize that, by active journaling of the Holy Scripture, how you have started changing and become a different person. Reviewing the journal entries and the verse of the Holy Scripture that spoke to you at a certain time will also help you plan for the hard phases of life easier.

In general, only three steps are needed. Exploring, Documenting, and creatively Expressing our lives and faith. Bible journaling is also a method of meditation and an act of worship. It is beneficial to all, both mentally and emotionally.
